Marina Beach near Southbroom on the South Coast, KwaZulu-Natal
A beautiful sandy beach with an adjacent tidal pool. The beach is located next to the San Lameer Hotel in the small village of Southbroom on the southern KwaZulu-Natal coast. On the southern side, it is bordered by the Impanyati Nature Reserve. Marina beach is one of the many naturally unspoilt beaches on the Hibiscus Coast .
Lifeguards are always in attendance and facilities are maintained in top-class standards throughout the year. Easy access for the disabled. Environmental education projects include: Public / Tourist awareness, formal schools education. Various schools in the region as well as schools in the rural areas will be targeted for visits to the beaches. One can buy locally made goods from the traders who have trading space allocated adjacent to the beach. There is a small restaurant at the beach and plenty of parking. The beach is accessible for wheelchair users, there is designated parking and ablutions for use by those in wheelchairs.
Access to the beach is via the N2 highway south of Durban , past the town of Margate and the turning to the beach is the one immediately after the turning to Southbroom and is clearly marked "Marina Beach."
